Man2Man is a small-to-mid-sized group of men ranging in age from the mid-20s to the mid-70s. We currently have an active roster of about 20 men with as many as 12 - 16 participating regularly on Saturday mornings in person at SPAC, and/or via Zoom, to accommodate those who may be out of town or otherwise unable to attend on site, but who do not want to miss their opportunity to connect. For years, this group and similar men’s groups at SPAC have really benefited from and enjoyed amazing times of connecting, especially with Jesus, our Saviour, Lord and constant Friend. We have used various materials available through Right Now Media that have helped us grow and mature as Christian Men. The Men have often commented on how helpful these resources are but have all the more valued the discussions they have prompted. Those discussions continue to bind us together in the realization that we are not meant to tackle life on our own. Men really do need meaningful relationships with other men who are also navigating life in a chaotic and confusing world, but who find mutual encouragement, care, and friendship to make that life journey so much more bearable, and even successful and fulfilling. Our times together are safe and confidential, which generally helps men open up to one another and share some of our deepest needs, as well as our finest moments. Knowing that other men regularly uphold us in prayer truly makes a difference in our lives as individuals and even as husbands, fathers, neighbours, workers, and friends. Tom and I have thoroughly enjoyed co-facilitating our weekly sessions, as well as extracurricular times for sport, fun (and FOOD). We met each other through this venture years ago. We became good friends, comfortable enough with our newfound friendship to support and encourage each other regularly through a very positive, mutually beneficial accountability agreement. This has even grown into a special male friendship that all too few men generally have the privilege and benefit of experiencing. We have especially been encouraged through the years, and perhaps even more so in recent months, to see how the men in this group have grown and matured as REAL or AUTHENTIC Men of God. Newcomers are always welcome, at any time of year or stage of our group discussions. Even if you aren’t looking for or expecting a lifelong friendship with someone in this or any group, we believe you are more than likely to find out what deep friendship with, and in Christ, can do for you, so please consider joining our Great Adventure of exploring life together as REAL (though imperfect) Men of God, in Jesus and by His Truly Amazing Grace!
