In a previous era local churches were social, cultural, and missional hubs. People went to church because there were fewer options and it was a primary way to connect with God. But culture has changed. We’re drowning in options, we have 24/7 access to anything Christian, and the big ‘C’ church hasn’t exactly been crushing it lately. Why bother?

The main reason church still matters is: WE ARE the church.

To BE the church is to move from being a consumer to being a contributor. You don’t go to be served, you engage in order to serve. There’s something profoundly scriptural about that.
